This is where we will speculate what other things (weapons, levels, etc.) could be in the final game.

Do you think there will be perks? There was a giant ink nuke in the trailer.

I was thinking about that, maybe Invisible Ink that can turn you invisible for a short amount of time.

I think there are certain things you can get while playing, because the guys with cannons during the treehouse didn't have them the entire match.

Around 1:25 they show off a couple weapons.
Paint Rollers, Sniping Rifles, Grenades, Bazookas and that nuke. I'm sure some of these are loadouts and others are perks you get when you fill up something

I think the weapons like the sniper and the roller are loadouts. The director of the game said that there'd be non combat items, which looks like what the roller is.

The roller is a melee weapon Im interested in what kind of vertical levels they could make given the dev team mentioned a tower like level where you're supposed to climb to reach the top

In other words; if there's a narrow hallway, will the player have to find another route to pass? This could open up for new roadblocks to pass and strategies to implement.

That tower level sound really fun. Maybe a King of the Hill type of map? Climb the tower, keep control of top of said tower. I don't know, I'm just hoping for a King of the Hill mode.

Another thing I'm wondering is if competitive scenes will use the motion controls, or just the analog sticks. If any of you guys have played the demo, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Anyone know if the roller provides a shield from frontal attacks? And a tower-style map would be the coolest thing ever.

I will eat a hat if a Rico Harbor map gets announced for Splatoon.

I think that their will be some sort of perk system. Like the paint nuke we saw in the trailer.

IIRC, they said that stuff like that were more...'killstreaks' (paintstreaks) akin to the Bazooka that we saw- which was gained by large parts of the ground without dying. So, you paint a lot, and you trigger your special weapon. I can imagine that it IS something of a loadout, and if, say, you choose the Orbital Splat Cannon over the Bazooka, you'll have to paint a LOT more than if you'd just went with the bazooka.
