Any water stage really. Maybe a stage with Mario Galaxy physics.

Honestly, I'd rather the game be 100% original- I'd rather not have any reference/throwback stages in the game.

I agree to an extent, though I think it's cool whenever developers throw in nods and references to different games, especially the diverse library of characters that Nintendo has created and cultivated.

It's a strange feeling, paying $13 to use what amounts to a giant Beyblade in a Zelda game

I loved the docks stage they showed off in the Direct. I'd also love to see the industrial platforming we saw for the sing player campaign made into a multiplayer map/

That stage looks familiar, what game is it from? Having an aerial stage sounds cool regardless, nice pick.

Ah, I never got too far in Sunshine. Only up to 25-30 stars I think. I really have to pick that game up again.

I think a stage based on trenches could be cool. Use squid mode to traverse in indents in the ground and jump over/through gaps.

I'd like to see a stage with a giant wall or dam in the middle where the only way to get over it is to ink up the sides and jump over. I'd also like a china town esque stage. Another stage I'd like to see is a super idealized suburban areas similar to the nuke testing towns they built in the 40s/50s/60s. inside of an enclosed factory with conveyor belts would be cool as would be a sprawling several layer "haunted" mansion. An abandoned zoo would also be very neat as would an abandoned theme park.
