So far there are two known modes: Turf War and Splat Zones. Each has its own strategy, with different weapons favoring a different mode. For those who do not know, the object of the now-announced Splat Zones is a King of the Hill game, where you try to hold on to a selected area for a certain amount of time. Which one appeals to you? According the those who played Splat Zones, there is a lot more strategy and skill-based gameplay. However, what are your views on both modes?

Splat zones sounds right up my alley, but I'll play both I'm sure.

I probably like Splat Zones a bit more, but I'll play both equally.

I'll probably play Turf Wars more but maybe that will change.

While I would play both, I'd really like to delve into Splat Zones and the other rank matches as soon as possible.

Turf War. It is the main mode and looks unique and new! However I will play both a lot. There is still skill and strategy and Turf Wars, correct? But Splat Zones really requires you to work as a team, which is why it is a Ranked mode.

You know most of us when we get the game are immediately going to play as much as possible until level 10 so all the modes are unlocked. Like I said in my post above, I'll probably play Turf War the most but still play all the ranked battle modes a lot.

Both but definitely Turf War the most. 60/40.

If there was a ranked splat (Death) match mode I think it would still be 4v4 as then weapons like the roller wouldn't be useless for the mode as you could help pave roads for team-mates.

Huh! Awesome replies! So do you guys see more tournaments or "competitive" matches leaning toward Turf War or Splat Zones more? Personally, I see Turf War being the winner in that respect since there will (probably) be more viable weapons to choose from.
I really hope there is a capture the flag mode as well.

i'll probably play both a lot splat zones looks fun as a competitive mode become of the koth style area everyone has to ink, turf wars sounds like the kind of mode where you can just have casual fun in or experiment with different weapon/clothing combinations

I'll definitely play both, but Turf War interests me more as of now, so likely that.
