Both look insanely fun in their own unique ways. Way more so than Smash 4, and Mario Kart 8(Seriously, that is why I am going to trade in MK8 for Splatoon)! Each mode is so drastically different from each other(Turf War, Splat Zone, and Single Player); They are almost their own games!

Whichever mode gains me the most gold in the shortest amount of time/least amount of effort. So basically Turf Wars. Once I've bought everything I can, the other modes will become more appealing to me. Splat Zones seems to be winner take all as far as BP goes whereas Turf Wars at least rewards individual effort based on your ink score. All you might get for doing well in Splat Zones as a player is a good grade that will eventually affect your overall letter grade ranking. I've no clue how useful it is for earning gold though by the time you gain access to it at level 10, you might not have any need for money any longer, but I highly doubt that.

They've said that stuff will change in the shop daily so you can only buy 20 things per day (5 per shop), so it will take awhile to buy everything. Maybe they could add more stuff too (Not weapons, though maybe) after launch!

Also Splat Zones is basically Turf War where the area you want to cover is much smaller! Of course it plays very differently but in concept it is similar.

I think I'm probably gonna use Turf War to demo each of the weapons that I unlock.

I think I'm probably gonna use Turf War to demo each of the weapons that I unlock. That's a good idea as it isn't a ranked mode. Even if there is other unranked modes Turf War will probably be great to try weapons out in as Turf War is the main mode so a lot of the weapons are designed with it in mind, though obviously weapons are designed to work well in other modes too.

You know, the crazy thing about Splat Zones is not just maintaining the ink within the rectangle; you want to hold the opponents back as well. This means it is quite important to have at least one charge toward the enemy base and cover the ground and such and keep them back. Even if one of them gets through and the others super jump, they will have problems against three other inklings.
