Nintendo doesn't usually send C&Ds unless people try to make profit from their stuff. Hence why stuff like Mother 4 still lives. And Project M, though that's getting squeezed out of Nintendo-sponsored stuff for obvious reasons.
But yeah, I think this ol' place would be nicely spruced up by adding some of these images. This forum is ironically pretty monochrome. Right. Plus, I am still waiting for a dark theme (like the Smash Board ones), so I can disable f.lux (a software that changes the brightness of the screen) when visiting this place.
This white background is absolutely horrible.

1:34 AM - 16 Mar 2015This weapon is the Hot Blaster. Seems like a fireworks launcher - it fires a special ink shell a fixed distance before it detonates. Because it's an area-of-effect attack, you can hit opponents hiding in cover. The way you approach enemies is gonna be an important part of mastering this weapon. 1:35 AM - 16 Mar 2015We've obtained this clip of a Hot Blaster in action. Looking at this, we might be able to understand the way its projectiles work. If an enemy gets hit directly, seems they'll be blasted in one shot. Most definitely something we'd like to get our hands on...

That looks really powerful. It covers a lot of ground, hits inklings behind cover and is a one shot kill, looks like one of my favorites, so far.

Wow, that's an completely unseen weapon. Awesome. The only way to OSOK with it is to have point blank aim, downside is that it's extremely short range. I think this would fit in the Heavy weapon type.

Holy moly... I love bazookas in everything ever, and this looks kinda similar to one. I probably won't end up using it as my main weapon, but it looks reaaaaally fun to use. I love how it explodes at a set time, so spacing is an important aspect of using it.

Awesome weapon, looks like it's very fun to use and requires good timing and spacing to kill with it. Love the design too. Now I'm very excited to see other weapons we don't know about very well yet.

I like how it looks so vastly different from the other guns, it almost looks makeshift.

I think that the Hot Blaster looks nice, but I wouldn't want to use it often because I like weapons that are really fast at firing yet not as powerful like the Splatter Shot. However I'm excited to try this weapon out and be on a team with people that have this. Also I predict the English name will be Hot Blaster as it is already two words.

Hot Blaster is one of my favourites so far, shoot it in every corner to prevent ambushes or unexpected close encounters.

Also seems good to snuff out players hiding in ink because it has a blast radius oppose to a splatter radius(?)

Yes more weapons classes! Super happy with this, makes it seem that we will definitely be able to switch up more strategy with our team!

Why would a player choose to hide in ink? How exactly does that benefit them and/or the rest of the team? Doesn't that go against the game's win condition? The more time you spend essentially sitting still doing nothing as a squid in your own ink, the less time you have to actually build up your ink score or contribute in any meaningful way to your team's total coverage percentage. At that point, you've become the weight dragging the rest of the team down. Camping in Turf War makes you a liability.
The mechanic makes no sense from the standpoint of what is essentially this game's flagship game mode. Not only does waiting around to splatter someone offer little reward for time spent basically doing nothing, we already know there are perks that lessen and perhaps even outright eliminate the already minor downsides of getting splattered. I cannot see the ability to hide in your own ink as a squid as long as you remain completely still having been thought up with Turf War in mind. It makes far more sense in a mode where splattering other inklings is your primary objective. In a mode like that it makes a whole lot more sense to me as a potential tactic.
