Sometimes when a top rank is A in Western versions of a game, it is S in Eastern editions. This is how it is in Hyrule Warriors. In Splatoon they might keep it the same across the board since it's international multiplayer, but I agree calling it S-rank would have been cool if it was more of a globally recognized term.
