Those aren't including the first map shown, the map shown in the Splat Charger video, the camp park map, and the shipping port map.. How many more do you think there will be?
That's 7 so far.

I'd think that they would have about 7-12. My favorite map shown so far is Blackbelly Skatepark.

There's 7 so not 6. I bet 12-14. Highest being 16.

In the Actual game, I can see 14 - 16 maps. I think that's a solid number. But if DLC ever came to Splatoon, I'm sure we would get more!

Yeah they already said they plan to support the game post-release so I expect map packs for a low price like MK8.

I would prefer 8-10 really awesome, balanced maps at launch over having more maps that aren't as good. They could always have dlc at a later time.

I feel like 10 balanced maps is a solid number.
Though, I'll admit that I'd like to see some pretty wacky stages as well.
I'm sure the dev's can come up with interesting ideas for levels.

10-16 is what I expect, with more via DLC. I hope there is a theme park map (A roller coaster could be really fun when spraying ink on it) and maybe another nature map?

Y'all have got some lofty expectations. If we actually get into the double digits at launch I'll be quite surprised.

I'm almost positive we were already told those would remain exclusive to the single player campaign. Perhaps they'll change their minds later, but I doubt it. Gotta keep some assets unique to hero mode to help it's appeal as an alternative option to the online multiplayer.

10 seems like an okay number. It's a small enough number that you can memorize the layouts but big enough for variety.
It's worth pointing out that with all the DLC added, MK8 has 48 tracks, all of which can fit inside a player's brain. So more maps are possible, though shooter maps aren't the same as racetracks (tracks are somewhat based on muscle memory). Halo did pretty well with a few DLC maps.

Oh baby, these maps are fantastic. Everything just screams Jet Set Radio, and Blackbelly Skatepark is bringing back some great Tony Hawk memories.
This game truly is becoming the epitome of "rad".

I'm wagering 10-12 at launch with more down the line.
