Hey guys!
This is a thread to pretty much consolidate terms and techniques that the community comes up with for Splatoon.
Feel free to post your ideas on new terminology!

Sure, as well as any other terminology you'd like to discuss.
For example, I thought maybe we could come up with a term when a person turns into a squid on land, without paint.
I initially wanted to call it skinnydipping, though I'm sure people can come up with other terms.

Squiding needs to be a verb.

Squiding needs to be a verb. "Squid" should be used like "smurf", as in, for adjectives, verbs, adverbs... If we don't call people who use the rollers "High Rollas" then I dunno what the point even is

If we want to make it really complicated we can have different names for different kinds of kinds of teams.
Like, we call an offense based team a Platoon, and a defensive one a Squad... that was a bad idea.
I like Squad though.

I kinda like that, but I think that would really only work if there is a certain team set that kinda becomes the norm play style and weapon load out for certain modes.

Something like that, if certain team builds get popular enough if would make sense to give them names, then again because there are so many tactics possible even with the same build could have different tactics even with the same team builds. I dunno, it could work.

Maybe. But I think Shoal or Squad should just be the general term. I believe Nintendo classifies them as Squads, but Shoal is pretty cool as well.
