Do you guys like the plaza that was shown off in the Direct trailer? I think it looks really cool! I love the way it looks like Nintendo Land's main plaza. What do you guys think? I am including the trailer analysis that Gamexplain made. It describes every key part of the plaza. link

I absolutely love the plaza! It just works so well with this game, and it gives the game that many more of details. I love the design and how it had the multiplayer in the tower, with the stores on the left and presumably the single-player near the end of the right. I couldn't ask for a better menu!

I was expecting a basic menu system so when they revealed we'd be getting an actual plaza full of other inklings and unique store clerks to interact with to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. It adds the much needed charm that in many ways acts as the glue the holds the whole experience together.

It's 20 freaking 15, this is less Nintendo doing right and everyone else doing wrong. I understand if you're an indie studio with a small budget, but when you're a AAA publisher with tons of money, you should work on a polished experience. Battlefield at least tried with the quick loading web browser system, even if that wasn't perfect, but too many games like Call of Duty just slap a regular old menu with almost no polish at all.
All that aside, I absolutely love it. The Shibuya inspired design. The Tokyo Tower central piece. All of the interactable NPCs. It feels like an actual world and not just some disc you're slapping in for a match with some randoms.

I am curious on what the street on the right leads to and what is behind us in the middle of the plaza.

Only Nintendo would be genius enough to put a hub in a shooter! I love the hub and all of it's characters. It made a hyped game even more cool looking.

I'm sure most of you noticed the Miiverse mailbox near the multiplayer tower. IGN had a very interesting idea on it that this could actually how you accept and sent game invites to friends! What are your thoughts on it?

Dunno. Seems roundabout, but plausible. I'd imagine it'd just be a general mailing system or something. Not sure what to think on it.

If you look at the right on the second floor, there is a yellow sign with black text, Gamexplain thought that the text is saying 1 VS. 1. Could this be the enterence to the 1 v 1 mode, or could it be something totally different?

I really love the Plaza. It really pulls me in, kinda hope there's a stage that looks like it.
