I was watching GameXplain's thoughts on the Splatoon direct and I saw THIS! From my memory, the Famitsu article stated that they were considering orders and signals for teammates, but in the end decided to scratch it. But in the HUD in the bottom-Left, there is the D-pad with the top selected that clearly reads, SIGNAL. What are your thoughts on this? Attachments:

Could be an early build of the game before they scrapped since the Famitsu interview did say they tried the signaling system in the game, they just felt it didn't benefit enough.

Ok that's definitely a possibility, after all, the Famitsu article did come out after the direct. But I think having a way to signal would be beneficial.

I think that might be a signal telling teammates to jump to you.

Yeah, I'm not sure if a "get over here!" button would help much. If you're in danger of dying, you'll probably die before they can launch others over, and if there's chat, there isn't much need for the button.

They managed to keep amiibo's a secret all this time. Maybe there will be at least in friend lobbies.
