I think we just need to take the time to appreciate how funny some of these updates can be

Sounds like the leveling system is going to be used to lock weapons in the shop from the newest update. If this is the extent of the leveling system with some minor stats and the clothing stat alters turn out to be just perks, I'll be very happy.

What do you mean just perks?

What do you mean just perks? Rather than clothing making you decrease speed by a lot or increase range, something that would probably make everyone go after an optimal build eventually, I'd prefer small parks like slightly faster run or something.

12:02 AM - 20 Jan 2015Weapons for battle come in sets of three comprised of the main weapon, sub weapon, and special weapon. The combinations are predetermined, so playing with different sets will alter your playstyle. We recommend trying out many different sets to find one you like. 12:58 AM - 20 Jan 2015Continuation of our report. There are sub weapons that can directly attack your opponents, but there are apparently also ones with auxiliary features like blocking your opponents' path or protecting your team-mates. However, as the use more ink compared to the main weapon, you have to be conscious of how much you have left in your tank before using them. 1:54 AM - 20 Jan 2015Continuation of our report. You can use special weapons by spraying ink over the ground and filling up a gauge. There are some that will unleash powerful attacks and some that will protect your entire team. Using these weapons effectively could help you turn the tide of the turf war battles.

I'd rather the Sub and Special weapons be customizable, at least sebs. Oh well.

IMO they did this to keep all of the combos balanced. I'd prefer them to be customizable but if they were I feel as though everyone would be using the same weapons.

I don't like stats being tied to outfits. That will eventually lead to most people looking exactly the same in online matches. Not necessarily, we might get set roles to come out of these stat buffs like the tank of the team.

We've yet to be shown what slots are actually for. All we know for sure is the number of stars directly corresponding with number of slots on a given piece of clothing/accessory, but with every example we've seen they've been empty. I've only seen stats (the meters) on weapons and even then only on the main one. All I've seen on clothing are effect perks. Perhaps whatever goes into the slots modifies the three stats each weapon has? Guess we'll see.
I'm cool with the weapons being bound in sets of three. I know some will be upset they aren't given total freedom to mix and match the three types however those choose, but for the sake of balance (which is what I'm hoping were their primary focus when making the decision to do it this way) I'll happily sacrifice some freedom of choice for a healthier competitive experience in the long run.

Well at least the weapons don't have weird attachments you don't want as it would if you were playing a certain class in other game.

Glad to get official confirmation on this. I'm happy with the class system honestly. Like already said if it works better for balancing out the game I'll gladly take it over full customization. But I understand why some would be disappointed.

The stars don't always correlate to the number of slots.
