i like the amount of high ground in the middle of the maps. assuming that splat zones always have their zones in the center, that makes for a good dynamic of verticality. i can imagine maps like walleye warehouse having stale, steamroll-y matches since most the high ground is just crates you jump on top of (with the tallest ones in the center of the zone instead of around it.)
imagine if there were more than one splat zone in a map, with them being in areas that are surrounded by high ground. i think that'd make for a lot of fast paced, dynamic matches (especially with coordinated teams)

There is a mall-themed stage confirmed, I wonder if that's the mystery stage?
The skatepark is interesting because the bowls and halfpipes really force you into squid form so you can get out of them quickly. Much like a real skatepark, fluid mobility is key

In the distance of the mystery stage I can see the mall. Maybe this is like Mario Sunshine where you can see stages from other stages? Or maybe they are the same stage like inyo said?

Well this is the only unknown stage that has been shown thus far and since it has been confirmed(just curious about how/when inyo) so it probably is the mall stage. It just looks more like a strip mall rather than a big complex(although an indoor mall stage would look supa hawt). And judging by the shoe sign in the pic and this sign thing, I'd guess it is the mall stage: The other possibility would be that it is a some theme park/downtown, but if someone somehow decodes all of the symbols and stuff on this it would be pretty useful.

Found the image I was looking for: "This just in! One of our senior research assistants just faxed over a fascinating new image. At first glance, this looks like a typical back alley, but word on the street is that it’s a favorite battleground for these crazy squids. Apparently it’s a popular place to hone one’s skills in one-on-one duels. If fact, it looks familiar for some reason…" Now looking at it, it looks nothing like the mall stage. Is this a new stage or one we have seen before?

It looks like the turf war stage they demoed at E3. It's the map we have all seen a million times over the past year, but we don't know it's name!

In the direct, a map appears on the stage selection screen while Splat Zones is being described called 'Camp Triggerfish', presumably this is the campsite themed stage we saw previously. Do we not have any good images of this map yet?

Do we not have any good images of this map yet? Nice discovery! And yeah found a screenshot of the stage The first 2 things that popped into my head when I saw this was: 1. That looks like temple run! 2. The tikis, bridges, and tree... it looks just like Capilano Bridge Park in Vancouver, Canada!

HOPEFULLY you CAN fall into the water and die, making this a more advanced stage. Also there needs to be a splat zone in that pavillion on the top left corner of the pic, and hopefully you can squid up to it from the side so that it doesn't end up being the camper spot. And the roof would be top tier sniping. AND, looking in the top right corner of the pic it looks like that far area might connect to the closer area, which would make this the widest/most spread out stage in the game thus far(unlikely since the game is only 1.8 gigs).
