I have raw files sitting on my computer roughly 50GB in size, but those are about 25+ minute long files at the highest recording quality. That file size can be dropped through some editing. Plus there are free video file size condensers online as well. Thanks duders! 50GB takes up a good chunk of my hard drive (Apple went solid state on newer MacBooks so I only have a 250GB drive) so good thing I have that TB drive sitting around. We kinda derailed this thread, huh?

Haha yeah but it kinda went along with the idea of having a Machinema-style Splatoon Channel.

Haha yeah but it kinda went along with the idea of having a Machinema-style Splatoon Channel. It'd be a good community-building thing. I'm looking forward to the new site having things like admins and a strong set of rules so we can keep the Squidboards as safe and jerknuts-free as they have been so far, even when they expand.

I still think this should run pretty parallel to SmashBoards, and maybe even go as far to cross promoting eachother. Sister-forums, if you will.

@thesplature do you think the official site will be up by the end of this month?

I think that BBCode has a lot of limitations as a forum platform. It requires a lot of custom code on the administrative end in order for admins to have marginal freedom as to how the forum works and for users to be able to do simple things such as embedding. I know I'm late to the game here voicing this opinion close to Splatoon's release and Squidboards 1.0, but hopefully the final forum will have more optimal markup language than BBCode.

@thesplature do you think the official site will be up by the end of this month? i think squidboards 1.0 will coincide with the release of splatoon since competitive boards will be completely inactive without a game to play, but if it releases sooner i'm not complaining

The official forum should come out at least a month before the release of the game, someone else could easily make a bigger better forum before TheSplature can make one

Guys has he even started working on the new website? If he hasn't then there is no way it can be ready in time.

Oh we moved ages ago. We just pretend that we are still on this site. You will never know the URL!
