Splatoon has about 2 months, I hope they can cram in enough content to keep me playing it as much as Smash Bros. You posted right before I posted my post without me realizing! Read my post on the page before. I doubt they would change their mind that quickly. Two months is very little time to add more modes in the game without them being terribly unbalanced.

I'll still buy it either way, we can't really stop the AAA titles from being $60 anymore. (Is Splatoon AAA? Not sure...)

I really don't mind if Turf War is the only online mode, at least for awhile. MK8 online has a few online options, but outside of private rooms nobody plays anything other than vanilla Worldwide or Regional, with Frantic as the second most popular. I think that having the focus be on one very deep, very fun thing, is a fine use of game resources.
Maybe there will be a few modes for offline play that will work better on one TV. I think they'll be more creative than "Capture the flag but a catfish" or regular ol' deathmatch.

Oh I actually hadn't seen the translation yet, just a summary by Wii U daily. If that's the case then I can't wait until a Splatoon direct to tell us what is and what isn't in the game! Turf War is obviously the main online mode and I hope there isn't that many more besides it, but a few others would be nice. Capture the Flag would be great as you can use your ink to traverse and sneak to the flag while using the ink to send people back. Death match would be alright but again this game isn't really about killing your opponents. Can you explain your other ideas?

I knew that translation couldn't be accurate. Multiple!ayer modes was my biggest fear, glad to know now it has been remedied.

I want to add, though, that my biggest fear is no LAN and no local splitscreen for 4v4. That will immediately murder the competitive scene for the game. Local Multiplayer with 4 Friends is a nice idea. Maybe u can play with ur team online against 4 others they sitting together on 1 Wii U. An other question: can splatoon played with Wiimotes + Nunchucks? Or only with Gamepad and Pro Controller? Then i must buy some Controller i think....

I don't know about splitscreen four player. Hmm... That would most definitely lower the frame rate

But they will probably announce more controllers for 1v1 and other local player modes in the next direct.

This isn't really a game-changer, but I'll definitely be sad if there's no feature to save replays. I'd love to be able to save awesome matches.

I'm worried that all the colors don't get to face eachother. Like in the videos we see green vs. purple, blue vs. orange, etc etc with only 1-2 other colors getting to face each color. Like take purple for example, I'm hoping that it will get to face against orange, yellow, dark blue, ya know? I feel like I worded this badly. anywho if each color can't face against all the other colors (and ik what colors your team is is random) then It'll be alright.

Well the colors are supposed to be contrasting each other so you can see easily what is your turf. We wouldn't want yellow against white.

Yeah, and for those who are color blind, they need to be contrasting. Purple vs Dark Blue probably wouldn't be a good pair.

My biggest fear now is that Splatoon(and especially Xenoblade X) will be delayed despite being done in order to fill in the roll as a holiday title since Zelda obviously can't fit the bill.....

I really really doubt that'd happen. They've been pushing a May release date for almost half a year now. Plus, Splatoon is the perfect summer game! I think it will come out in the MK8 slot as expected : )
