This week, they'll focus on differences between human/squid forms as well as fan-arts to be published in the magazine. Source

Eh, I wouldn't expect anything too big out of this for awhile.

From Famitsu:
-Octolings can also have roller-type weapons, not just guns. The introduced enemies are (strongest to weakest): -The giant box from the solo trailer is called 'Giant Weapon' in Japanese and is the strongest enemy introduced. You can see it has little Octarian legs in the image. It will try to body slam/crush you. -Octolings, who have the same skills as Inklings -2-Legged Octarians, which are stronger than single-legged Octarians. -'Divers' with diving masks on, so they can dive into the ink. -'Octocopters' (Takopter in JP), who have propellors on their heads to make them float and difficult to attack. -The rotund 'Octoball' enemies, with one eye, who move around spreading inking. -Finally, 'Octopods', little robot like enemies who will chase you down and explode ink all over you. -The point out that you can see a giant, octopus-shaped structure on the cliffs in the background of the shot of Octo Valley. -You can use the pools of ink to perform super jumps while in squid form. -You can shoot at propellers to make the raft your on move. -You can shoot devices to create a 'rope' that you can travel up and down on in squid form to places you can't normally go to in human form. -Next issue with Splatoon info is coming out on March 19th, focused on gear and weapons.

More organized version.
General Hero Mode details – The goal is to retrieve energy sources which were stolen by octopuses – There is exclusive equipment to use in Hero Mode – Commander Atarime will aid the player with hints when facing the Octarian Army
Enemies in Hero Mode – The number of tentacles of an enemy implies its strength – Octolings attack in groups – It is implied they will have rollers in addition to usual guns – Octopus diver can dive into ink – Octocopter floats midair so it is harder to hit – Octopus ball has one eye and spreads ink by rolling around – Octopus robot is a walking missile – If it detects the player, it will rush towards him/her and will scatter ink upon explosion
Hub area – There is a starting area from which you enter Hero Mode stages – Commander Atarime lives there – You enter every stage from a kettle – The scenery is reminiscent of modern day as there are telephone poles – A huge octopus looking building can be seen inside
Gimmicks – Jump point: you can perform super jump to change places quickly – Propeller lift: shoot the fan to move the lift – Ink rail: you can reach places which would be unreachable in human form by turning into a squid
Expectations have risen. Its really cool Hero Mode has its own Hub. Hubception.

Source*Sub weapons use a lot of ink *Special weapons can only be used after filling a gauge that increases the more ink you shoot. *Weapons come in pre-set groups of 3 (see below for 2 examples). Main Weapon: Splat Charger - charging weapon, good for long range attacks, can make 'Ink Roads' for you and your team mates to use. Sub Weapon: Splash Bomb - standard bomb, explodes on impact Special Weapon: Bomb Rush - Allows you to shoot as many bombs as you want for a set period. Main Weapon: .52 Gal - Stronger than the Splat Charger, but uses more ink so can't be fired as much. Sub Weapon: Splashield - Creates a curtain of ink. Good for narrow pathways to attack your opposition. Special Weapon: Megaphone Laser - Shoots out a powerful 'laser' of ink. Good for turning around battles. Also talks about the Splattershot, Hot Blaster, and Splat Roller, but nothing new on them. Next article is out April 2nd.

There is going to be multiple sets containing at least one weapon in common, correct?

Short answer: We don't know. Weapon sets themselves haven't even been consistent. For example, in the January Direct the .52/5.2 Gallon despite being shown to be paired with the Ink Shield and Ink Tornado in the store menu was shown using the Ink bomb in actual gameplay. Fast forward to this weeks Famitsu and its special weapon has apparently been replaced by the Megaphone Ink Laser. So what will the .52/5.2 Gallon actually come with in the final retail version of the game? No clue.
Yes, there are likely going to be sets that have at least one weapon in common. In the direct footage form January both the Quick Ink Rifle and the Splattershot shared the Ink Bomb and Barrier weapons. Perks are shared across different categories of clothing as well meaning you can have more than one on your outfit. I'm assuming this means their effects are therefore able to stack to increase their potency. Either way, a lot of this is just wait and see in the end.

I think probably there will be many versions of the main weapons like the Splatter Shot, each with different sub weapons, special weapons, and perks.

Was the next batch of info supposed to come out yesterday? I think I added 2 weeks from the last article date, but was there anything new?

Here's scans from the latest issue. Scroll down a bit to get to Splatoon. After Splatoon's pages is a bit on Rodea, which just came out in Japan. I am importing a copy. imgur.com/a/CxXgd

I hear tell that there's a new issue out this week, and scans are floating around. Who wants to investigate? (I can't speak Japanese)
